Audio Atrocities (TM) :: Dynasty Warriors 5 (Playstation 2)

KOEI continues the long tradition of camping up the localization with this title, and it looks like there's no stopping a good(?) thing. Typical KOEI specials like bad voices, bad writing, bad sayings, and inappropriate utterances abound here, but it's par for the course since they gave up actually trying around Dynasty Warriors 2. Enjoy.

Exhibit A: “Fear the tiger of Xian Dong!”
Yes, it's a cheap weiner joke. No it doesn't mean that in Asia. But it's still funny to hear it shouted out in English.

Exhibit B: “Ain't no base gonna stop us!”
Here's a clue for all you production-types out there. [Ain't] has no place in a period piece unless it's in specific time periods, like the 1930's or a handful or others. It definitely has no place in a warlord-driven piece in Asian olden-times.

Exhibit C: “Ahhh! Where did I go wrong?”
Probably when he signed up for this game, but the credit is not a featured selection on his resume, no doubt.
