Audio Atrocities™ : Onimusha · Capcom · Playstation 2 · 2001
Feudal Japan. Warlords. Long, sharp, shiny blades. Blood, lots of blood. This game had all the hallmarks of a cool classic...then the speaking began. A collective groan and several "why God, WHY?!" moments later, the gaming collective realized that, again, they had been duped. Played. Cheated by The Man. Onimusha wasn't a classic, it turned out. It was just another hack and slash with really crappy voice acting that veered wildly from "okay", to "bad", to "racial caricature", often within the SAME SCENE!

Though Onimusha has moved on to become a modestly successful franchise, the voice acting is pretty lame across the series. It all started here.

Exhibit A: Be quiet monster. It is time for you to go back to the underworld.
The most un-badassedly delivered lines are the most scary, right? Well, right? Oh...uh, this line is just as stupid with visuals, so imagine the scene and play the clip again.

Exhibit B: Hee, hee, hee...I see.
Another bad titter, more bad voice work.

Exhibit C: Ahhhh! Help me!
This outtake of the voice actress begging to get out of the game recording once she realized how clueless the director was accidentally got left in the game.

The Rest:
Haven't had enough? Here's some additional clips for your amusement:
